Cake and ice cream melt in Hell. But, she's probably in the Ninth
Circle inside one of Satan's mouths, being chewed up, swallowed,
digested, defecated, repeat for all eternity. So, send her some cake
and ice cream, Satan will enjoy sharing it with her.

Holy? She was "Holy" like a heroic fireman who pulled people from
burning buildings, that she herself had set on fire so she could claim
credit for fighting. Her long list of sins and crimes have been put
forth in this newsgroup many times before. An eternity in Satan's
mouth, stomach, intestines, dropping through his anus as a living turd,
repeat, is really too good for her. She needs a whole, new "tenth
circle" set up just for her. We both know the very special, hellish
delights she deserves for her eternal afterlife. You'll be with her
soon enough for your special reward through all eternity.

Pity smug, self-satisfied Spartakus, unaware of the fact that I faced
down this vision of the good being punished and the evil being
rewarded decades ago, and trying to preach to me about Ernest Becker's
_The Denial of Death_, a book I read and appreciated when I was less
than half the age I am now!

You at least have the courage of your convictions, while Spartakus
never seems to have any, despite all his posturing.

This holy woman withheld pain medicine from cancer
patients telling them that every pain was a kiss from Jesus.
But, when she was ill, a private plane flew her to the best
hospital for treatment. The old hag deserves to burn in hell.
It's a pity that there is no hell for her or anyone else.

Mother Theresa was a cunt. A GASH.

Friend of dictators like Baby Doc Duvalier, her disgusting practice of
withholding pain medication from the dying made even buggering Nazi John
Paul II order her to cease and desist. Imagine, she succeeded in
disgusting a pedophile!

The world is far cleaner without that nasty Albanian hole.

There's little or no question that "Mother" Theresa did very awful
things for a very long time. A question remains, however, did she know
and understand what she was doing was evil, or was she misguided,
incompetent, or simply a well meaning person who had little or "no
business in the business"? If someone were to review the facilities and
operations today, would it all be just the same, or radically reformed?
Would the bulk of the monies collected still be going into the Vatican
treasury for the benefit of the staff? No one knows. However, being a
Catholic operation, it's still likely that little or no prevention is
being done, no efforts at effective birth control or AIDS prevention.

Withholding pain meds from those in dire need of them is hardly an
achievement. Indeed, it's more an act to be met with revulsion, and
possibly a baseball bat.

The woman was _evil_. It's small wonder then that you hold her up as
someone to be honoured.

Not quite sure what you mean there. She wasn't short of cash; indeed,
she was quite the little go-getter when it came to money. Nor was this a
time period when such drugs were not yet developed. Nor was
transportation for said drugs unavailable.

That was, indeed, kinda the whole point; the tools were available to ease
suffering, she chose instead to cloak it in religious nonsense. Hitchens
documents a case where one of her nursing staff left, because a child,
instead of being given the antibiotics which would almost certainly have
saved his life, was left untreated it was "irrelevant; he was going to
see God anyway".

Hitchens adds, “Bear in mind that Mother Teresa’s global income is more
than enough to outfit several first class clinics in Bengal. The decision
not to do so... is a deliberate one. The point is not the honest relief
of suffering, but the promulgation of a cult based on death and suffering
and subjection.”

She spent most of the money she got building nunneries
where ignorant, uneducated nuns were trained to be just
as cruel as she was. The rest she split between the Church
and herself. If there was no pain medicine, it was simply
because she didn't want to buy it. She believed that
suffering was a good thing and made people dying of cancer
suffer because she was a sadist.

Besides, pain killers of one kind or another have been available since
the late 19th century. Earlier if you only needed a little relief.
(Salicylic acid, the precursor to acetyl-salicylic acid - aspirin [it
turns into acetyl-salicylic in the mouth] was available since willow
trees evolved, which is probably before there were animals.)

That's not what Romans 8:16 is all about. It's about the Spirit
speaking on our behalf.

Mother Teresa went through a dark night of the soul like the one that
Jesus went through on the Cross: "Eloi, eloi, lema sabacthani". And
then there was the father on whose child Jesus took pity when the
father said, "I do believe! Help my unbelief!"

Let everyone remember this wonderul woman on what would have been her 100th
birthday. Mother Teresa was perhaps the greatest, most influencial woman of
the 20th century and is deserving of any praise or honor bestowed upon her.
Also, imagining her face while consummating the physical act of love
is an effective way to delay premature climax. For several months.

My apologies to any readers rendered permanently impotent
by the above suggestion.

The Catholic League can honor anyone they want to. They just can't expect
to have the Empire State Building lit up in support. Personally, I'd
rather honor people like Madalyn Murray O'Hair, Anne Nicol Gaylor, and
Margaret Sanger.

Mother Teresa was a flakey. She did not believe in using clean needles.
She did not adhere to good normal medical practices. She did not make
use of her own hospices when she was sick. What a damning indictment.
What a vote of no confidence.

She has contributed to millions of death through Aids by discouraging
the use of condoms and contraception in general. Her sins are detailed
by Sister Shields and Christopher Hitchens.

Censorship of the negatives of Mother Teresa does not make those
negatives go away.

True, she would fly to New York and use the finest medical care
available. She knew better than to use her own medical care.
She also raised millions each time there was a disaster, little or none
of the money she raised went to disaster relief, but rather to the
Vatican coffers, not to be seen again.
The withholding of pain relief was just one of the many, many complaints
against her work.
In essence, she was much like a fireman who claimed credit for fighting
fires that he himself had secretly set in order to collect extra pay.

What I'm suggesting is that contraception eases many problems and gives
women more control of their own live (something the church would never
like). In particular condoms offer protection from Aids. The church has
helped kill millions in Africa by opposing condoms. MT was a relentless
campaigner against contraception and against empowering women in
general.

What good is MT do except keep sub-standard hospices, keep photo ops to
sleazes like Baby Doc and Charles Keating.

MSF does much better.
